About Me

As a school counselor, I like to be both proactive and preventative. My goal is to teach students the skills they need to be successful academically, socially, and emotionally in their lives both inside and outside of school.

I'm originally from Rochester, NY and attended the University of Buffalo where I earned my B.A. in English. After moving to Virginia with my husband and working in the pharmaceutical marketing industry for a number of years, I realized that it wasn't too late to achieve my dream of becoming a school counselor. I attended Graduate school full-time while continuing to work full-time, and eventually becoming a mother to my wonderful daughter. I graduated with my M.S. in School Counseling from Capella University and last year became a Nationally Certified Counselor.
